FLOW BENCH TESTING

Airflow testing is a very important tool used to develop efficient ports. There is more to a cylinder head than just big max lift flow numbers. Depending on the application, low-lift or mid-lift flow numbers can be just as or even more important. Port cross section area and shape play an important role in performance.

Our SuperFlow flow bench is extensively used when developing ‘extreme ported’ stock appearing heads and manifolds. The flow bench will help us identify port area’s that need to be opened up or even filled in with epoxy or weld. We use our Computerized SuperFlow 600 to test Heads, Intakes, Exhaust manifolds and mufflers.

Have your cylinder head flowed and evaluated

This will give you flow numbers (@ .100” lift increments) at 28” for both the intake and exhaust port of one cylinder. This information can be very valuable in helping you purchase the correct cam or determining if your heads can flow enough air to support your horsepower goals. Please fill out and include with your head the car-data-sheet, to give us a better understanding of your car and its intended application.
