HIGH PERFORMANCE
CAST IRON EXHAUST MANIFOLDS

Shootout Manifolds!

Imagine blasting down the ¼ mile in 11 seconds, returning to the pits, opening your hood and seeing an engine that would appear at home in a show car, right down to the Factory Cast Iron Exhaust Manifolds! This is no longer a fantasy, this is reality!

Extensive flow bench research has gone into these shootout manifolds. Gessler Shootout Exhaust Manifolds start off as factory cast iron exhaust manifolds that are modified to reduce exhaust restrictions allowing your engine to create more horsepower! Your car will produce more HP and quicker ET’s, while maintaining that original pure stock look!

All makes and models are modified. Each manifold is specifically modified to address specific problem areas within that manifold. Exhaust manifolds are not created equally. Generally, poorer flowing manifolds tend to have more potential for improvement. Each cylinder (runner/passage) is modified based on its specific needs. Material is only removed where needed, thereby maintaining exhaust gas velocity. Most manifolds have several poorer flowing runners that require greater modifications than the better flowing runners. Once modified, manifolds tend to have a better port flow equalization. Depending on the manifold casting and intended application the outlet size may vary.

EXHAUST MANIFOLD OPTIONS

LEVEL 1 - Shootout Manifold
Price starts @ $250.00*
This level of modifications gives the best return on exhaust manifold porting dollar and is recommended for 90% of our customers. Restrictions and flow loses are reduced within casting limitations. Exhaust Manifold port openings should always be larger than the cylinder head exhaust ports. We enlarge the manifold port openings to inhibit reversed flow, which helps to improve idle quality. Manifold outlets are enlarged, butterfly heat valve flap and shaft are eliminated and shaft holes are plugged. All modifications are dependent on your specific manifold castings. Not all manifolds require or even allow all modifications.

LEVEL 1X - Extruded Shootout Manifold
Price starts @ $725.00*
Some of the better flowing factory exhaust manifolds show nice improvements by having the manifolds extrude honed and finished off with LEVEL 1 type modifications.

LEVEL 2 - Super Shootout Manifold
Call for pricing.*
This modification includes LEVEL 1 enhancements PLUS custom welding to increase flow and further reduce restrictions. Welding can be used to enlarge passages and outlets, re-contour port passages or help to encourage exhaust gases to flow in the least restrictive direction. Custom head pipe flanges may be required. LEVEL 2 exhaust manifolds are designed for serious stock appearing cars interested in squeezing out every available horsepower.

Jim Haas's 1970 Chevrolet Nova 350 LT1 competes in the F.A.S.T. race series and has run a best of 11.83 @ 119 MPH using a set of our LEVEL 2 log-style exhaust manifolds. One of the fastest Small block car in the F.A.S.T. race series.

LEVEL 2X - Extruded Super Shootout Manifold
Call for pricing.*
This modification includes LEVEL 2 enhancements PLUS Extrude Honing the manifolds to reach internal areas not normally modified. This is the ultimate exhaust manifold!
