12.11 ET - Larry's GS is super clean. It's a fully streetable, Drive anywhere car!
Here's the particulars. 1970 GS455 Stage1, Gessler Head Porting Level-2 TA Perf. Stage1SE Aluminum heads, Edelbrock Performer Intake, John Osborne prepped 72 Q-jet, MSD Digital6+ ignition, MT Super Scavenger headers, Dr. Gas X pipe into 2 1/2" mandrel bent exhaust with Walker long case mufflers. 67 ST-400 switch pitch with TSP 3200/1800 converter. 8.2 10 bolt 3.42 posi. Best ET on MT ET street Drag Radials, 12.454@106.80 MPH, Best MPH, 12.546@107.84 MPH, 4000 lbs race weight with driver. Larry uses a KB118 cam and Gear Vendors Overdrive. Future plans include trying a single plane intake manifold.
Update: 10/13/2007, Larry updated his car with 3.73 gears, TA SP-1 intake manifold and 1000 cfm holley carb by AED. He ran a best of 12.11 @ 111.98.
Larry drives his GS to the track, clicks off a few low 12 second passes and cruises on home at the end of the day. |
