Jesel Rocker Shaft System
for Buick Heads
GHP can install the Jesel rocker shaft system on your Buick heads. Jesel rocker shafts allow for greatly improved valve train stability and also accommodates longer valve stem lengths and larger valve spring diameters safely without requiring the rocker arms to be relieved, which will weaken them. Great for Buicks with roller cams and a lot of spring pressure. Below are pictures from a set of TA Performance Buick heads that were converted over to the Jesel system.
The original Buick cast-in rocker pedestals have been machined down. The final machined height is critical for proper rocker arm geometry. Due to taller than stock valves used in this head, the pushrod holes needed to be elongated for proper clearance.
Here the Jesel billet steel stand has been installed.
This photo shows generous valve spring to rocker clearance, even with a 1.55" diameter roller cam spring.
Assembled TA Perfromance Buick Stage2 head with 1.65 rockers, 1.55" diameter valve springs and a 2.00" installed height. The Jesel system gives superior valve train stability and allows for greater choices in roller cam valve spring selection, without the worry of breaking a modified rockerarm or snapping a shaft.
