Hi Greg,
I was pleased that you offered to put my car up on your website, it's an honor to me to have my car associated with you and your car. It is basically stock with your Level-4 heads and your flow matched intake.
Here are the specifics on the car and drivetrain. I have two engines, the stocker numbers matching which has been freshened up and sits in the corner of my garage. The one that's is in the car now has run a best of 11.40's @ 115+ MPH. The block has been cleaned up with the mains align honed, the .038" overbore SRP pistons are .025" below the deck. It has 10.4 to 1 compression ratio and runs on 92 octane pump gas, the reciprocating assembly has been balanced. The block and front cover are 1971 models, I run a Kenne-Bell booster plate on the oil pump and a 5/8" pickup tube with a stock oilpan. The cam is a Comp-Cams custom grind 238/248 with .550" lift on 112 lobe center. I use dual back grooved hardened cam bearings. It has a double roller billet 9 keyway timing chain and gear. The heads are 1970 Gessler Level-4 and tickles the valves with 1967 rockers. It has a ported and flow matched B4B by Gessler Head Porting. The carburetor is a Buick 800 cfm Quadrajet tricked out to the max by myself. I use an old Stinger S-4 ignition, stock chrome valve covers and first design 1 7/8" Kenne-Bell headers with 3" collectors expelling the waste into a full 3" mandrel bent exhaust.
The transmission is a stock Stage1 original BB turbo 400. It shifts fast and hard, the rear end is the ultra strong factory 10 bolt with 4 spider gears, fat bearings and 3.64 to 1 ratio. I have included a recent time slip from New York International Raceway Park, where I ran last summer with BFGoodrich drag radials.
The car is in show quality condition from end to end with stunning black paint and 56,000 original miles with two motors. It is for sale for $45,000 or $40,000 with original motor in place.
