CYLINDER HEADS
READY TO INSTALL HEAD ASSEMBLIES

It's no secret, cylinder heads are probably the single most important power making component on any engine. While there are plenty of other trick parts that will pick up your ET a few hundredths, or even a tenth or two, nothing comes close to a good set of cylinder heads.



Pontiac 400 cylinder head, rebuilt with mild port work and ready to install.


LEVEL 1 – Stock Rebuild
$875.00*
Completely and properly rebuilt to better than original specification. Includes disassembly, degreasing and shot blasting, visual and magnaflux inspection. 3 angle valve seat, Sunnen honed valve guides, heads milled true, valve heights equalized, bolt holes cleaned with tap, assembled, pre-lubricated for startup.

NEW PARTS include stock replacement intake and exhaust valves, bronze valve guide liners, valve springs, valve locks, valve stem seals and expansion plugs.

Level 1 heads are recommended for owners that want the power of original heads with increased quality and durability and for restorations that want to keep the car as close to factory original as possible.


LEVEL 2 – Bowl Ported

Includes Level 1 plus: Intake and exhaust port bowls are ported and polished to valve seat and intake and exhaust valves are back cut.

NEW PARTS include one piece stainless steel swirl polished valves.

Level 2 heads are recommended for a mild horsepower increase on a completely stock engine.



LEVEL 3 – Street Performance
from $1,640.00*
Includes Level 1 and 2 plus: Entire intake and exhaust pockets are ported, including modifications to the critical short turn radiuses. Intake port opening may be gasket matched depending on intake port design. Exhaust guide boss is reshaped. Exhaust crossover passages are filled with aluminum and plugged flush within the port, this keeps intake cool and reduces center exhaust port turbulence. Combustion chambers are polished .

NEW PARTS include performance valve springs, after market retainers and Viton positive valve seals.

Level 3 heads are recommended for a cost effective performance increase. Works well with heavy cars with mild gearing due to excellent port velocity.


LEVEL 4 – Competition

Includes Level 1 through 3 plus: Intake port is completely ported for increased air flow and volume. Exhaust port is completely ported and polished. One intake and exhaust port is air flowed and results are included with heads. Optional valve choices are available.

Tom Cannon uses our Level 4 heads on his Factory Appearing 1970 340 6-pak T/A Challenger. Tom competes in the F.A.S.T. race series which requires correct original casting numbered heads, intake and exhaust manifolds. The car must appear 100% stock and he is required to race on original equipment reproduction bias ply street tires. Tom built this engine in October of 2003 and has already achieved an 11.97 @ 117.5 MPH! (Thru cast iron exhaust manifolds and a full exhaust system)


LEVEL 5 - Super Competition
from $3,500.00*
Includes Level 1 through 4 plus: Level 5 heads are extensively modified including welding inside the ports to increase flow and velocity. State of art multi-angle / radius throat valve job is performed. Combustion chambers are cc’d and equalized. All 8 cylinders are air flowed, flow sheets provided. Race-only, not recommended for the street.

READY TO BOLT ON.

Our complete head assemblies incorporate port designs developed with extensive flow bench research and proven on the street and strip. They are completely cleaned and assembled, with valve springs set up for your cam.
